Join the blogging revolution as a reader and/or creator of blogs.
What is a blog - My definition of a blog is an Online Diary, that you can keep private, or share with the world. Shared Blogs have changed the way we use the web. Because anyone can create a blog - you are your own publisher - you don't need a publisher to acknowledge your work and publish it - Blogging has allowed anyone to report news. To me this is where the revolution started. A new book was just released last month "Reporters Without Borders a Handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents:" http://www.rsf.org/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=542
Blogger.com was started 5 years ago. Back then it was just text - you could write and others would read. Today Blogger.com is owned by Google. Blogs look more like web sites - with graphics, links and even backed by big names. A new feature on some blog sites is the ability to podcast for a small monthly fee due to needed bandwidth. Let's go to the source, where it all began: http:\\Blogger.com
First lets take the tour, and get an overview of what a blogger can do
Blogging features are added periodically, it continues to improve.
Now that we've had the tour let's create a Blog of our own. Click the "Create your Blog now button. It will only take a few minutes. By the end of the workshop you will be up and running.

Resources:
The Grad Center's MSM/ISM/STM'01 Jen Kramer - who created this class, has a great page on Blogging. Especially helpful is her section "Where things go wrong' http://zonorus.marlboro.edu/~jkramer/workshops/blogger/index.html
Blogs, Blogs and more Blogs
http://blogger.com
http://blogspot.com same as blogger.com
http://www.blog-n-play.com/ Makes you look like an Author of a Software Magazine - their slogan is "Get Published". I created a blog on Cold Fusion (one of my favorite languages by MacroMedia) they have podcasting for $3.50 per month. Get your voice heard. http://jilmac.coldfusionjournal.com/

Enjoy blogging - it's another tool, which is growing, evolving, and making our world a closer unit.
